Responsibilities
Planned, managed, and executed 7 monthly events throughout the academic year, all of which were centered around Filipino culture
Curated menu, decorations, and activities specific to event based on a budget constraint of over $1500 per events
Delegated roles and tasks according to timeline and scouted and organized volunteers
Trained current freshman representatives and successors for the following year to prepare them for conducting events
Impact
Spread cultural awareness in a digestible way to people from various backgrounds (as a non-Filipino myself)
79% of attendees reported learning about a new Filipino holiday and its cultural traditions based on yearly survey
Strengthened community on campus through interactive immersion
Growth in membership attendance by 38% in comparison to the beginning of the academic year
