Event Overview
Event Purpose: The MassKara Festival was created to bring hope to the people during a time of famine and financial market crash. The name translates to mask & multitude (mass) and faces (kara) to illustrate resilience. The menu reflects street food typically eaten during MassKara. Additionally, the festival is celebrated with a beauty pageant and bugle band which is replicated through a mask and shoebox float decorating contest and a brass instrument performance.
